Pandya entered the fray in the second innings after India were down to 31 for 4 after 6.1 overs. He provided the ideal support to former captain Virat Kohli as the duo began to revive India’s innings. They ended up forming a partnership of 113 runs. One boundary and two sixes were part of Pandya’s 40 runs from 37 balls, at a strike rate of 108.10.
