Gwyneth Paltrow is known for her award-winning performances in hit films such as Shakespeare in love and The Royal Tenenbaums and also made headlines for her forward-thinking lifestyle company, Goop. When she’s not on screen or raving about the latest wellness innovation, the 50-year-old is an all-star mom to her two children, appeal18, and Moses16. The business owner shares the two teenagers with her Coldplay frontman ex-husband Chris Martin45, to whom she was married from 2003 to 2016. Gwyneth is now married to Brad Falchuck51, while Chris dated an actress Dakota Johnson33, since 2017.
Gwyneth and Chris, who ‘consciously uncoupled’ in 2016, have also found a way to consciously co-parent. Speaking at the #BlogHer15 conference in 2018, Gwyneth said she was “very lucky” to have a partner who was willing to help take care of their family with a “collaborative” sensibility. “I’m really for Chris and he’s really for me and our children are our priority,” said the Iron Man actress declared.

Apple Martin
Gwyneth and Chris’ firstborn Apple came into the world on May 14, 2004 with an original celebrity baby name that made headlines. The now 18-year-old is just as beautiful as her parents and is Gwyneth’s look-a-like with her tall, slender figure and long blonde hair. She is also very much a teenager and makes fun of mom whenever she gets the chance.
Early in the 2020 pandemic, for example, Apple shared a playful interpretation of her mother’s quarantine to-do list by poking fun at some of Goop’s products, such as vaginal eggs and vagina-scented candles. In a notebook Gwyneth shared on Instagram, Apple wrote: “Make more vagina eggs and candles”. Gwyneth accepted the roast in the caption, writing: “Apples interpretation of my to-do list #quarantine”. The teenager also poked fun at her famous mom on TikTok in April, saying her mom’s morning routine consisted of “a few more vagina eggs and candles, also vagina candles and vagina perfume, and just everything vagina. “
Even with Apple’s hilarious tasks, Gwyn loves her unconditionally, which she has shown time and time again. For example, the A perfect murder actress struggled to see Apple growing up in a 2020 post on Instagram to celebrate her 16th birthday. “You are wickedly intelligent and you have the best, driest, most brilliant sense of humor,” Gwyn wrote. “I’m having the best time being your mom. Apple moved out of home to attend for the fall 2022 semester, and Gwyneth opened up about how difficult the transition was for her. “It was terrible,” she revealed PEOPLE in October 2020. “It was truly horrifying. I was sick to my stomach and burst into tears.” However, she said she’s getting “more and more used” to her firstborn being out of the house, especially since Apple is loving the experience so far.
Apple didn’t leave home for good, however, and was home for a weekend in October, which Gwyenth called “amazing.” She added: ‘I see her but not as much as I want. I would like to see her every day, but I am so happy for her. She is doing great.”
Moses Martin
Born on April 8, 2006, Moses is also a spitting image of his A-list parents. Although his older sister Apple had fun teasing their mother from time to time, Moses was a bit more supportive, which Gwyneth revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2021. Speaking to Ellen, Gwyn noted that her child is “proud” of his “feminist” mom for the sex-positive products she sells on Goop — even the vibrators. Gwyn also shared with talk show host Jimmy Kimmel during a January 2021 episode of his show that Moses has become quite the skateboarder amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, working on “skills and tricks” as a form of outdoor exercise.
For Moses’ 15th birthday, the proud mum posted a sweet shout-out to him on Instagram, showing both a close-up portrait of the teenager and then a photo of him doing a trick on his skateboard. “Holy Moses, I can’t believe you’re 15 today,” she wrote in the post. “You are the dreamiest, sweetest, most brilliant guy ever. I love you so much, you can’t fathom it. Happy birthday you little shredder”.
In a chat in October 2022 with PEOPLEthe Politician actress revealed that her little boy is now taller than him before she struggled about both her children in general. “My daughter went to college in the fall, and my son is growing up by the minute,” she noted. “He is taller than me. But I am very grateful for the transitions. Especially as a mother, I really cherished every chapter of their life.”
Talking about how much she loves being a mum to her two children, she added: “It’s funny, I always thought, when they were born, I was like, ‘It’s never going to get any better than this .’ But then they were 2, and then 5, and every stage I was like, ‘This is better than the last.’ And I feel that way now.”
