Megan Thee Stallion put her nursing degree to the test Saturday Night Live! The Houston native, 27, has an actual undergraduate degree in Health Administration from Texas Southern University — technically, that means she can work in a hospital — which she earned in October 2021. During her hosting appearance on SNLBut the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper cheated her education in a different kind of hospital called “Hot Girl Hospital.”
The faux drama — allegedly produced by Shonda Rhimes and a hit on The Shadow Room – starred Megan and her fellow nurses as they assisted patients with health emergencies… the beauty kind. At HGH, the scrubs are not blue or green – but rather the trendy shade of hot pink that dominates the current fashion scene. The first patient to close the clinic? Nobody but Heidi Gardnerwhich needed a little beauty boost.

“46, female – neat as hell,” Megan declared, blue hair rocking. Meanwhile, Heidi appeared distressed as a second nurse quibbled about her “fit”, which included a pair of beige chinos. “Trash, trash,” Megan replied, when her co-worker announced the woman needed a “BBL” and “whatever Fashion Nova we have.”
A BBL is an acronym for a Brazilian butt lift, and a surgery known in popular culture for celebrities who are said to have enhanced their derriere’s through the procedure. Fashion Nova is also known in popular culture as the fast fashion brand in the hip-hop community, worn by Megan and also her “WAP” collaborator cardi b (On “She Bad,” Cardi even raps, “I could buy designer, but this Fashion Nova fits”).
“Calm down, you’re going to be a bad b—- soon!” Megan reassured Heidi as she was driven away for her makeover. As she underwent her supposed surgeries, a confused doctor wandered into the space with a pointed question, “So, what kind of hospital is this?” he inquired. “We do weaving, butts and clothes,” he was informed.
Heidi then emerged with her new look, showing off her larger rear while wearing a hot pink mini dress. “It does, thank you,” she told Megan and her two colleagues, as the rapper declared, “Yes!”
Megan was open about her decision to attend school while also achieving success as a musician. The Texas-born star was already studying for her Health Administration degree when her rap career took off, but said it was important for her to see the dedication for her late mother through Holly Thomaswho died in 2019.

After revealing in June 2020 that she was pursuing her degree part-time and online, Stallion continued to work toward her goal of earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration. Despite her prowess already as a three-time Grammy winner, the singer told People that she is furthering her education as a tribute to her late mother, Holly Thomas, who died of brain cancer in March 2019.
“I want to get my degree because I really want my mom to be proud,” she said PEOPLE magazine after she graduates from Texas Southern University in 2021. “She saw me go to school before she passed,” added the beauty.
“I want my great mother to be proud,” she also said. “She saw me go to school before she passed. My grandmother who is still alive used to be a teacher so she is on my butt to finish school. I do it for me, but I also do it for the women in my family who made me who I am today.”
