Islamabad:
Former director general of Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Bashir Memon has confirmed claims made by a hacker that he was locked inside a toilet on the orders of then Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In an interview to a private news channel, the former police officer confirmed the hacker’s claims on Twitter. The hacker, in several tweets, shared the inside details of the meeting between Memon and the former prime minister, Geo News reported. However, the tweets have now been taken down.
According to the Geo News report, it was alleged that the former FIA DG was locked inside a toilet at PM House and was under pressure to follow Imran Khan’s orders.
Memon, responding to the allegations, confirmed that the former prime minister used abusive language against PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz, which angered her and gave her a strong reaction. On this, Memon further said, Azam Khan, the then Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, grabbed his hand and took him out of the room and locked him in the toilet.
said Memon, then Azam Khan scolded me for my behavior with the Prime Minister. It is pertinent to mention that the government has set up a high-powered committee to investigate the audio leak from the Prime Minister’s House, which has raised questions about security.
Some audios of the meetings taking place at the Prime Minister’s House have been released, sparking a new political controversy over the PTI conspiracy in the US. In an audio, Imran Khan can be heard allegedly strategizing on the US Cyprus issue and using it to support the party’s narrative.
